      Instructions:

      1. The reagents and equipment required for instrument installation shall be provided by the user.

      2. For the use, handling, and storage of toxic and hazardous reagents, please follow the relevant regulations.

      3. Before using this instrument, carefully read the instruction manual and the relevant industry standards.

  • Usage and Maintenance Instructions

      1. The preparation and placement of the sample are critical steps for ensuring the success of the softening point test and the accuracy of the test results. They must be carried out meticulously in strict accordance with the requirements specified in relevant national standards!

      2. Do not turn on the device and run a dry test when there is no liquid in the test bath.

      3. If water is added to the test bath, please drain all the water from the test bath when the room temperature drops below 0°C to prevent freezing and damage to the components!

      4. The photoelectric detection device of the instrument and the lower part of the test bath should be regularly wiped clean to keep them free of dirt. The bath liquid in the test bath must remain clean and transparent, with no debris or turbidity present.

      5. After work is completed, if the instrument will not be used for an extended period, the liquid in the test bath should be drained completely.

  • Operating Procedure for the DF-12 Computer-Controlled Fully Automatic Asphalt Softening Point Tester

      1. The instrument should be placed on a level workbench, and its operating conditions must comply with the environmental and operational requirements specified in the instruction manual.

      2. Ensure that the power supply has a good grounding terminal, and that the instrument’s enclosure is properly grounded.

      3. Prepare two specimens according to the procedural requirements, and place the specimens in the specimen ring.

      4. Place distilled water or glycerin into the test bath (use distilled water if the sample’s softening point is below 80℃; use glycerin if the sample’s softening point is 80℃ or higher). Ensure that the liquid level is above the depth mark on the upright column, then place the magnetic stirring bar at the center of the bottom of the test bath.

      5. Place the test ring containing the two specimens into the test holder, then gently lower the test holder back into the test bath and secure the upper holder with the fixing nut.

      6. Insert the temperature sensor cable plug into the socket on the control unit, and place the temperature sensor probe into the middle hole of the intermediate shelf in the test bath.

      7. Turn on the power switch, and the instrument will enter the test operating state.

      8. Click the “Test” button, and the instrument will enter the test operating mode. Once the softening points of both samples have been measured, the test will be completed, and the test results will be displayed on the screen.

      9. After the test is completed, press the power switch on the instrument to turn off the power.
