Rotary compactor An 8-inch touch screen is used as the instrument’s technical parameter setting window, featuring a clear and highly visible interface for convenient human-machine interaction. The system boasts comprehensive maintenance functions and high reliability. It employs a PLC-based control system and includes a reserved computer interface, enabling real-time collection of specimen pressure and displacement data during testing via a computer. Corresponding test curves can be generated according to user requirements.
Rotary compactor During compaction, a known mass of asphalt mixture placed in a mold with an inner diameter of either 100 mm or 150 mm is subjected to vertical stress (typically 600 kPa) applied by end plates. The upper and lower end plates remain parallel and horizontal, while the longitudinal axis of the mold rotates at a fixed angle relative to the vertical direction. Throughout the compaction process, the height of the specimen is automatically measured, and the density and air void content of the mixture are calculated in real time. During compaction, test data are displayed on the screen in both graphical and tabular formats and are also stored in a format compatible with Excel. The operator can choose to perform compaction until a specified number of rotations is reached, or until the mixture achieves a specified density or air void content.
Rotary compactor It is a new-generation rotary compactor that can operate using either internal or external rotation compaction angles without the need for calibration. The rotation compaction angle can be adjusted to the desired value, ensuring that the rotary compactor is fully equipped to meet a wide range of future requirements. This equipment can be fitted with load sensors to measure the force generated during specimen rotation, as well as a shear measurement device. The internal angle of rotation and shear is standardized using Pine’s AFLS1 internal angle measurement device.
