What are the characteristics of a rotary compactor?

2020-07-29

The gyratory compactor is used to simulate and replicate the actual compaction conditions encountered during on-site paving operations, thereby determining the compaction performance of asphalt. It evaluates the compactness characteristics of asphalt mixtures and provides support for the design, quality control, and testing of asphalt mixtures.
The rotary compaction apparatus features a frame made of high-hardness, premium-grade steel to ensure precise angular control. Pneumatic servo control is achieved via a precision pressure regulator, and a linear displacement sensor measures the height. The rotational motion is generated by a high-precision centrifugal system, and simple settings guarantee consistent rotation angles and accuracy.
This device complies with the relevant requirements specified in the industry standard of the People’s Republic of China (JTG E20-2011), as well as with the following standards: UNIEN 12697-10, UNIEN 12697-31/ASTMD6925/AASHTO T312.
  Device features:
  1. A high-hardness, premium-quality steel is used for the frame to ensure precise angle control.
  2. Electro-pneumatic servo control regulation.
  3. The color display touch control system can be directly connected to a computer. Through the interface, the computer can display various curves and charts, and it can be seamlessly connected to the touch screen for joint instrument control.
  4. Test parameters such as the rotation compaction angle, compaction pressure, rotation speed, and number of rotations can be easily set.
  5. During compaction, it is possible to measure and display in real time key parameters such as the rotation angle of the mold, compaction pressure, specimen density, and number of rotations.
  6. Save, plot, and print the results of the compaction test.
  7. Two operation modes for completing the compaction test: 1. Set a preset number of rotations; 2. Set a preset target height.
  8. Integrated built-in demolder.
  9. The test mold rotary chamber can be heated and kept warm (customized).
  10. Can be used for compaction tests on emulsified asphalt and cold-recycled mixtures.
