Precautions for Using a Pouring-Type Asphalt Mixing Plant

What are the precautions we need to take when using a batch-type asphalt mixing plant? Next, our editor will briefly explain these points for you, hoping to provide some helpful information.
1. Check whether the agitator blades are installed correctly. Shake the handle to see if the oil-bath mixing pot moves up and down smoothly without any obstruction.
2. Check whether the temperature and time controllers are functioning accurately and reliably. After completing the above steps, press the power button on the electrical control panel to turn on the power supply. At this point, the power indicator light should illuminate. If it does not light up, re-energize the system.
3. Set the stirring time on the “Time Preset” dial. If you need to perform hot stirring, set the heating temperature on the “Temperature Preset” dial and press the “Heat” button. During the heating process, the heating indicator light should illuminate.
4. If hot stirring is required, preheat the ingredients to be stirred in an oven and keep them warm until ready for stirring. If hot stirring is not needed, simply set the stirring time on the “Time Preset” dial. When the oil-bath stirring pot reaches the set temperature, pour the ingredients into the pot—first add the solid materials, then the liquid materials. The amount of ingredients to be stirred should not be excessive, as this could cause overflow during stirring.
5. Shake the handle to raise the pot until the stirring blades can just touch the ingredients. Then, press the “Start” button. The start indicator light will illuminate, and the stirring blades will begin to rotate. Continue raising the pot to its upper limit position. If the machine is operating normally, it will proceed with stirring according to the preset stirring interval. In case of any unexpected situation, immediately press the “Stop” button.
