1. First, turn the power on and off.

Start the power program, turn on the power regulator switch, and then turn on the rotary compactor switch.

II. Parameter Settings

III. Height Correction

Place the standard specimen (114.33 mm high) into the steel mold, put two specially designed circular paper discs on top of the specimen, and then place the steel mold into the rotary compactor.

1. Click the CALIB menu, select the height correction function, click “2”, then click Enter, and follow the on-screen instructions.

2. The height correction will take several minutes. Once the correction is complete, press the “Yes” key to print the height correction data.

3. After printing is complete, click “No/cE and ESC” to return to the main menu.

4. Rotary Compaction Operation

1. The steel mold, after height correction, should be preheated in advance. Before placing the mold, lay down a standard sheet of paper, and coat the inner wall of the steel mold with a release agent.

2. Place the thoroughly mixed asphalt mixture into a steel mold that has been leveled and calibrated, then lay a standard sheet of paper on top of the mixture.

3. Place the steel mold into the rotary compactor, close the corrugated glass door, and then press the “sbar” key to start the rotary compaction program. The rotary compactor will automatically perform rotary compaction and molding.

4. After the rotation is complete, place the steel mold into the demolding device to remove it from the mold.

V. Data Printing and Transmission

The prerequisite is that the cable is connected to both the printer and the computer.

1. Click the function key “”, select “3-Output” to enter the data storage panel.

2. The storage bar has 6 sets of data. Press the “” or “” key to select numbers 1–6 for corresponding printing and transmission.

VI. Precautions

1. Place the steel mold onto the rotary compactor. The outer edge of the steel mold has a marking line that should be aligned with the marking line on the compactor.

2. If the power suddenly goes out during actual testing, the power-off procedure should be executed promptly.
