What are the characteristics and working principle of a rotary compactor?
A rotary compressor utilizes circular oscillations to produce a uniformly woven structure under the action of hydrostatic static loads. So, what are the characteristics and operating principles of a rotary compactor?
What are the features and working principle of a rotary compactor?
1. Equipped with directional wheels and a frame fitted with directional wheels for easy mobility;
2. The rack is equipped with height-adjustable support brackets to ensure smooth machine operation.
3. Specially developed high-performance hydraulic system, offering reliable and noise-free operation;
4. The rotary oscillation mechanism features a simple structure with few components. By selecting high-quality standard parts, it ensures consistent oscillation amplitude and angle, as well as low noise levels.
5. Equipped with a high-rigidity guide rail mechanism, the pressing head can automatically align itself relative to the middle part, eliminating the need to tighten it during operation.
6. Easy to operate, this machine is equipped with two sets of operating systems—program-controlled and manually controlled—which can be selected at will.
7. The rotary compressor’s data management system displays on the screen parameters such as force, displacement, rotational speed, and rotation angle. Users can set up print windows to print various numerical values, and the device is equipped with a USB port for convenient data storage. The rotary compactor achieves uniform compaction by utilizing circular oscillation under hydraulic static load. Currently, the rotary compactor represents one of the most advanced molding methods in highway engineering, closely simulating actual construction conditions.
What are the functional features of an asphalt mixture rotary compactor?
1. An axial-pressure gas-static pressure reducing valve is used, and the axial pressure fluctuation during the experiment is small.
2. The unit integrates a silent pump and an air tank, eliminating the need for an external air compressor.
3. Integrated body electric demolder with built-in program-controlled delayed automatic demolding function.
4. The touchable electric safety gate, under real-time automatic pressure and secure program control, will automatically open according to the instrument’s status. The safety gate can be opened for testing by activating the unique advanced user mode that disables the system’s safety programs.
5. Hidden built-in LED lighting system.
6. The touchscreen configuration allows real-time curve display of information such as speed closed-loop control, angle, height, rotational speed, and density. The prototype forming method can select either height-control or rotational-speed-control compression modes.
7. It can record and view process data and compression parameters for multiple sets of compression curves, and also allows exporting files via the interface.
8. Provide a random calibration kit box (including torque and axial load calibration tools).
How is asphalt protected and stored in an asphalt mixture rotary compactor?
1. With the exception of liquid asphalt and emulsified asphalt, all asphalt samples requiring heating must be stored in metal containers equipped with sealed lids. Paper bags are strictly prohibited from being placed inside plastic bags. Samples should be kept in a cool, clean location, taking care to prevent contamination. The sample containers themselves must be airtight when in use; after wiping them clean, clearly mark the containers (including the lids) with identification labels indicating the J-port sample source, variety, sample date, location, and the specific sample container and product series.
2. For winter emulsified asphalt samples, appropriate antifreeze measures should be taken.
3. Except for a portion of the specimen, the remaining samples should be carefully stored for future use.
4. When heating samples, load the required quantity for an entire batch of experiments into another sample-handling machine at once. The remaining samples should be stored in sealed containers, and repeated heating of the same samples should be minimized as much as possible. Samples used in quality arbitration inspections must not be reused more than twice.
