How to Use a Pouring-Type Asphalt Mixing Machine

The operating procedure for a pour-in-place asphalt mixture mixer is as follows:
1. According to the procedure requirements, set the desired time using the preset key. During operation, press the “Start” button to activate the stirring motor, which will begin rotating and drive the stirring paddle to perform both orbital and rotational movements via the stirring head. Once the set time is reached, the motor will automatically stop. The next operation can only be performed after resetting the timer to zero. In case of an emergency, you can press the “Reset” key at any time to immediately halt the stirrer’s operation.
2. Mixer lifting and lowering control
On the right side of the control panel, there are “Raise,” “Lower,” and “Emergency Stop” buttons. When you press the “Raise” or “Lower” button, the stirrer will automatically move to its highest or lowest position, respectively. If an emergency occurs during operation, you can press the “Emergency Stop” button to immediately halt the stirrer’s movement.
3. Machine Installation
After unpacking the machine, proceed with installation. The installation surface should have a solid foundation, and the distance from walls and nearby fixed objects should be greater than 0.6 meters. The machine can be secured using anchor bolts, or it can be installed without them. During installation, place the machine on a concrete foundation and ensure it remains stable and free from vibration.
4. Heating pot temperature control
According to operational requirements, the desired temperature is set using the dial, and the temperature is controlled and displayed by the temperature controller. This machine employs an on-off control method. Due to thermal inertia, the reading displayed on the temperature controller may overshoot temporarily—this is perfectly normal. The preset temperature value should be taken as the reference.
This section features a knob that indicates the “Work” and “Stop” positions. When temperature control is required for the mixture, turn the knob to the “Work” position. When temperature control is not needed—for example, when mixing cement—set the knob to the “Stop” position. At this point, the heater will stop operating.
