Daily Maintenance and Care of the Asphalt Penetration Tester
2020-04-17
Today, the Nanjing Tuoxing Instrument & Meter Research Institute will share with you the daily maintenance and care tips for the asphalt penetration tester. Let’s take a look together below.
I. Pre-use Inspection:
1. After unpacking, check whether any damage has occurred during transportation.
2. Check the packing list to ensure that no parts are missing, and promptly notify our company’s sales department or the distributor.
3. Plug in the power supply and turn it on. At this point, the display screen shows the time “5.0”.
4. To ensure detection accuracy, after powering on for 20 seconds, press the instrument’s manual key. At this point, the needle rod assembly should be able to fall freely.
5. To adjust the instrument to a horizontal level, follow these steps: Rotate the adjusting foot screws until the bubble in the spirit level is centered. At this point, the working surface will be perfectly horizontal.
II. Maintenance and Care:
1. After each use, the asphalt penetration tester should be washed and dried thoroughly.
2. Non-test personnel are not permitted to use this instrument.
3. During the experiment, you must not leave your post or engage in casual conversation with others.
4. It should be stored in a dust-free, non-corrosive environment at room temperature.
5. Before using this product, please read the instruction manual carefully and keep the manual in a safe place.
III. Precautions for Instrument Products:
1. When using the equipment, carefully read the technical manual, familiarize yourself with the technical specifications, operational performance, usage methods, and precautions, and strictly follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the instrument’s user manual.
2. Personnel using the equipment for the first time must operate it under the guidance of experienced personnel and may only perform independent operations once they have become proficient.
3. The instruments, equipment, and materials used in the experiment should be arranged reasonably and neatly, facilitating operation, observation, and data recording.
4. Before powering on electronic instruments and equipment, ensure that the supply voltage matches the instrument’s specified input voltage. Instruments and equipment equipped with three-wire power plugs must be plugged into power outlets with protective grounding to ensure safety.
5. When using the device, its input signal or external load should be kept within the specified range; overloading is strictly prohibited.
6. Optical and chemical instruments and their accessories should be handled with care to avoid vibrations. Never touch the surfaces of optical glass with your hands. If dust or dirt is found, do not wipe it off with your hands or a cloth; instead, use specialized cleaning products or tools designed specifically for this purpose.
7. The equipment should not be operated or used in magnetic or electric fields; shielding measures must be taken to prevent damage to the instruments and equipment or to avoid a reduction in measurement accuracy.
8. Before using mechanical instruments and equipment, be sure to run them under no-load conditions to ensure they are free of malfunctions before applying any load. Lubricate them before use and wipe them clean after use.
