Ten Key Points for Analyzing the Technical Parameters of a Rotary Compactor
2014-04-09
We have certain reference standards for the rotary compaction tester technology. So, what are the standards for these parameters? Let’s now introduce them one by one:
1. The outer diameters of the loading heads for the rotary compaction apparatus are φ149.65 mm ± 0.10 mm and φ99.65 mm ± 0.10 mm.
2. Compaction tester pressure range: continuously adjustable from 200 to 1000 kPa
3. The vertical pressure applied by the rotary compaction apparatus’s loading device onto the plane of the mold base shall be: 600 kPa ± 60 kPa during the initial 0 to 5 tests; after more than five tests, the pressure shall be maintained at 600 kPa ± 18 kPa.
4. Number of rotations: Forward rotation: 0–999 times; Reverse rotation: 0–999 times
5. Rotational compaction shear angle range: 0.5° to 2.0°, incrementing by 0.01°. Before leaving the factory, the compaction angle is calibrated, enabling a useful external angle of 1.25° ± 0.02′ and an internal angle of 1.16° ± 0.02°.
6. The lateral displacement sensor of the rotary compaction tester has a measurement range of 0 mm to 200 mm, with an accuracy of 0.1% and a resolution of 0.05 mm. The rotary encoder has an accuracy of 0.01 mm and a resolution of 0.01 mm.
7. The static straightness measurement error of the lateral displacement device on the rotary compaction tester is 0.1 mm.
8. Scale of the rotary compaction tester mold: Inner bore diameter: φ150 - 0.10 mm; φ100 - 0.10 mm
9. Rotating compactor rotation speed: 30 ± 0.05 (r/min)
10. Rotary compactor height: 190 cm; weight: 370 kg; shipping weight: 410 kg; mold weight: 7.4 kg
