  With the advancement of science and technology, mobile laboratories have emerged to meet the needs of on-site experiments in specific industries—enabling flexible, rapid experimentation and timely delivery of results. A mobile laboratory refers to an experimental facility or setup equipped with specialized experimental capabilities, supported by active or passive transport mechanisms, and capable of being moved or temporarily set up at various locations. The construction of mobile laboratories has increasingly attracted attention from both society and government, and they have played a positive and critical role in numerous major events and emergency situations.
  I. Advantages of Mobile Laboratories
  The first advantage of mobile laboratories is their mobility and flexibility, rapid response capability, and strong emergency preparedness. Most mobile laboratories are equipped with either active or passive mobility capabilities, enabling them to quickly reach designated locations in a short period of time, collect samples on-site, and ensure, to the greatest extent possible, that the experimental data accurately reflect the true conditions at the scene. The second advantage is their fast experimental speed and rapid result determination. Mobile laboratories generally employ directly readable portable instruments and plug-and-play equipment.
  II. Main Features:
  1. Rapid Response: Upon receiving information about food safety and environmental safety incidents, the vehicle-mounted GPS positioning and navigation system can quickly query electronic maps to identify the nearest route to the incident site, enabling rapid arrival at the scene and ensuring a swift response and action.
  2. Designed and manufactured in accordance with laboratory certification standards.
  During the design and manufacturing process of the mobile laboratory, full consideration was given to the nature and characteristics of food testing work. The two technical standards—ISO/IEC 17025 “General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories” and GB/T 15481 “General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories”—were adopted as key references for the design and manufacture of the mobile laboratory. This approach successfully addressed technical challenges such as seismic resistance, temperature and humidity control, and voltage stabilization. In accordance with the essential requirements for laboratory accreditation, elements crucial to laboratory certification—including calibration of on-board instruments, experimental environment conditions, vibration damping and corrosion protection, power distribution and lighting, data processing and information transmission, personnel requirements, and laboratory management—were thoroughly integrated into the mobile laboratory. As a result, the testing conditions in the mobile laboratory are fully comparable to those in a fixed laboratory.
  3. Achieve rapid and accurate on-site detection with data that is both precise and reliable.
  In addition to being equipped with conventional testing instruments, the mobile laboratory can be effectively outfitted with sophisticated precision equipment. These instruments enable quantitative and qualitative analysis of various testing items in accordance with national inspection standards, covering microbiology, toxic and hazardous substances, heavy metals, pesticide and veterinary drug residues, drug residues, and other safety-related parameters. It is an ideal choice for inspection agencies at all levels to enhance rapid testing capabilities and improve on-site supervision and inspection efficiency.
  4. Design reasonably and create a guaranteed experimental environment.
  The mobile laboratory uses a specially designed chassis approved by the national authorities as its transport base. To ensure operational safety, the mobile laboratory is divided into two major functional areas: the driver’s area and the laboratory area.
  The mobile laboratory is also equipped with other infrastructure, such as power distribution facilities, water supply and drainage systems, fire protection equipment, emergency medical care facilities, alarm systems, wastewater and exhaust gas treatment facilities, ventilation systems, communication transmission systems, and information network systems.
  5. Equipped with an advanced information platform and dedicated software.
  Communication Support: The mobile laboratory does not operate in isolation. Its communication and information systems enable remote monitoring and real-time guidance. A wireless network allows for the automatic collection, transmission, and printing of reports on testing data.
